The package of the Finn Touring Kayak and Single outrigger is an ideal rig for Dragon Boat training. This package is providing a valuable coaching and training rig for sports men and women around Australia. The Finn Dragon Boat Training Rig provides paddlers a level platform for consistent assessment across the team.
Unlike an adapted TK1, the Finn Dragon Boat Training Rig is well suited for off shore paddling in all sorts of waters, thus providing the perfect craft for paddling conditions all year round.
Unlike a fibreglass or carbon TK1, the benefit of the Finn Touring kayak is its ruggedness and zero need for maintenance. Adjustable foot pedal length makes this package very practical for a boat that may have multiple users.

• The rudder pedals allow for leg drive through the heel or ball of the foot.
• The Outrigger is side interchangeable allowing for port or starboard paddle training.
• The rudder is a stainless steel, spring loaded, “kick up” rudder, so no pull cords are needed for manual rudder retraction.
• The seat height is raised to help duplicate the seating position of a Dragon Boat paddler.

Many coaches and teams are very keen to provide an equal and consistent training assessment platform right across the board. This makes for a more realistic performance assessment and allows accurate individual coaching for each paddler in the team.
