HONDA PRELUDE BB6 H22A4 VTEC ENGINE

DESCRIPTION

1996-02 PRELUDE BB6 H22A4 ENGINE 4 CYLINDER DOHC Power 142kw (190hp) at 7000rpm, Torque 212Nm at 5250rpm Vtec, Black Top, (check for cruise control and non cruise control) The H22A VTEC engine most commonly came out in the Honda Prelude VTi-R but did make a few appearances in the Accord as well from 1994 to 2001. TheH22A runs a DOHC, 16 valve, VTEC configuration. The VTEC system engages @ 5,000rpm before redlining @ 7,200rpm to produce 188hp (140kw) @ 6,800rpm and 158 ft.lb (214Nm) of torque @ 5,500rpm in Australian models. This engine can upgrade into the EG and EKcivic as well as other vehicles however some modification will be needed to do this. It should also be known that when replacing H22A engines, you must know whether it has cruise control or not. The non cruise control type can not be modified to accommodate it and electronically may require a bit of attention
