DESCRIPTION
I am selling a fully restored Gardner 4LW diesel engine and PRM310 gearbox, this engine and gearbox have been loving restored to worlds best practice, no expense has been spared. The engine and gearbox have been blueprinted and all the marinised components are new. This engine and gearbox is bolted into a steel frame so the motor can be started and also easily transported anywhere. This motor and gearbox is ready to install into a boat.
Engine History
The engine was originally used in a Bristol Tramways double decker bus in 1942, at some point in time it was brought to Australia and taken to Broken Hill where it was used to run the BHP water pump which served the mine and the local town. When the pump was decommissioned an engineering enthusiast who collected antique engines restored the engine.
Also included is an original Gardner Engine LW type spare parts catalogue, which is in immaculate condition with no torn pages or grubby fingerprints. The catalogue includes the following 2 volumes
