DESCRIPTION

Installation of the Dual Engine Synchronisation unit allows the boats two engines to run at exactly the same engine speed as each other, balancing the hull stability, tracking straight, reducing strain on engines and saving fuel. Sensed from the engines alternator, distributor or flywheel sensor, the synchronisation unit is suitable for:

KE-4 Electronic Control System complete with Dual Engine Synchronisation option is ordered in three parts.
To simplify ordering, synchronisation kits have been collated to suit the number of engines and stations. Simply select from the table below, each kit includes the following items:

PART 1 contains:
Control Head
- The hand lever control unit that is used by the operator.
Note: Twin lever controls are available in four cover colours, gold (306396) which is the standard KE-4 colour, chrome (306394), white (306390) and black (306392).
Please indicate which colour is required when placing your order. e.g., 306232 (system) with 306394 (colour of control head) indicates a twin engine, single station, 12 volt, one twin lever set with a chrome cover.
Control Unit
- Electronic box with connections for electric cables, to connect control head(s) and actuator(s).
Actuator
- The electrical/mechanical change over box, it has a 1.8 metres wire harness that connects the actuator to the control unit. Mechanical cables purchased separately are required to connect the actuator to the throttle and gear linkages (see part 3).
Power Supply Harnesses
- Connects the control unit to the batteries, the standard harness length is five metres. Optional ten metre harness is available if required.
Engine Synchronisation Switch
- The on/off switch panel to engage or disengage synchronisation.
Engine Synchronisation Switch Harness
- Connection with a 5 metre cable supplied. 10 metre (306284) or 15 metre (306286) options may be made for this cable at time of ordering.
Communication Harness
- A five metre cable that electrically connects the two control units of the KE-4 electronic control system. The starboard control unit becomes the master and the port control unit becomes the slave, via this cable. The master/slave relationship is required to create harmony between the two units, as without it they would continue to operate as individual units.
Sync Master Harness
- A 180mm pigtail connector, connects the communication harness to the starboard control unit (the designated master control unit), and allows connection to the engine synchronisation switch. The RPM sensor for the starboard engine is also connected at this point.
Sync Slave Harness
- A 180mm pigtail connector that connects the communication harness to the port side control unit (now designated as the slave control unit), and also allows connection to the RPM sensor for the port engine.
Please select your specific kit from the table below, all the components detailed above in Part 1 that are required have been included, to allow a quick and simple installation.

PART 2:
Remote Control Harness
- Connects the control head to the control unit. Available in lengths from 4 to 24 metres. Please select the length from the table below. One remote control harness is required for each Control Head or Handheld Remote Control (see 'Related Products').

PART 3:
Mechanical Control Cables
- Cables such as CC633, SP33C, or 33C, connect the actuator to the engine(s) throttle and gear linkages. See 'Related Products'.
