Location is super important as great foot traffic is a bonus to a business that I believe will become a point of destination for many repeat clients.
Potential
My plan is to open a first shop and implement 2 business models into one. I believe the initial investment can be paid down in less than 2 years and a second shop opened to follow the first one. As the first shop will be a proven, successful business model then there is no limit to how many shops are opened.
Skills
I have developed many skills and there are a few main criteria to a successful hospitality business.
A fair lease, low skill level needed for staff so low wages bill, low cost of goods and good turnover.
Hours
It will be a 7 day operation, opened some nights to 10pm.
Employees
Trust is an issue but I have a Manager who I trust and will work hard. Most employees will be younger, maybe at school to keep wages down, with at least one adult on.
About the Business
The first contact with you as an investor is to sign a Confidentiality Agreement. I would then direct you to visit a cafe that I sold, and an ice cream retail shop that manufactures their ice-cream, that I have also sold.
I know the financials of both of these businesses and both these businesses are successful in their right.
Both do approx $13,000 a week
There would be no commercial kitchen and no cooking of fancy foods or menu.
I see many busy restaurants and cafes, that at the end of the week there is little profit, why be in business ?
No chefs or cooks needed.
All products sold will be be low in cost of goods.
Mainly pastries, crepes, and a big range of ice-cream that has won many awards over the years.
The product is so good the current retail shop has become a point of destination with no other retail shops in the vicinity. This ice cream shop has a proven track record due to a great product.
Plan would be to cover costs, and all profit paid back to you as an investor until your initial investment is paid in full.
Then a second shop would be opened and plans after that to be discussed.
