When do I need to service my trailer?

Regular servicing of your Cheval Liberte Trailer should occur every 12 months or 10,000km.







Our comprehensive regular service includes:

All moving components inspected
Brake inspection
Bearings and wheel hubs
Tyres and rims
Chassis and suspension components
Full inspection of body components
Springs and shackles checked for wear
A-frames checked for damage/fatigue
Peripheral fittings and components
External lights and wiring connections
Handbrake cable adjusted and checked
Hitch, Jockey wheel and jacks lubricated for ease of operation

What do I need to keep an eye when on the road?

Most critical parts of the trailer should be subject to a daily visual check. This includes:

Coupling
Lights
Tyre tread
Wheels nuts (with a wheel brace)
Tyre pressures (with a gauge)

This will keep you safe on the road. Should you notice anything abnormal please call the CARLIGHT Servicing department.

When towing it is good practice to stop after the first 20 to 30 km and just do a quick check again of the important bits to make sure everything is safe.
