DESCRIPTION

HPI12S COMPACT PASSIVE SUB-BASS

A small sub with a monster footprint. Fly it, hide it, hang it, as an ultra-compact passive sub bass for mobile audio or permanent installation, the HPI12S is a spectacularperformer.

Light in weight and high in LF output, the HPI12S is ideally suited to small medium sized venues that require authentic sub bass with a very low visual profile.

A CLOSER LOOK

The custom built 12" driver in the HPI12S is one of the very few loudspeakers with cone material made from Australian eucalyptus hardwood.

This material has strength like a composite material but the warm sound of a cardboard cone; much loved by hi-fi enthusiasts.

The benefit with the Quest driver is it can take serious punishment while still sounding like high end studio.
A (SMALL) PRO PACKAGE

Internal rigging points allow the sub bass to be flown for permanent ceiling installation with four top mounter reinforced inserts and one extra on each side.

A 35mm top hat can accommodate a standard speaker pole for mounting a satellite mid-high box.

Power handling is high for such a small system with apower amplifier recommendation of 600W nominal.

COMPACT & CLEAN

The birch ply casing looks serious and is built to last the distance in a high performance environment.

The angled connector panel is a thoughtful addition to act as a strain relief to the speaker connection and alsomake it possible to mount the box next to a wall if necessary.

POWER ME UP

The HPI12S is a serious compact sub.

Quest Engineering recommends an amplifier capable of delivering 500-600W (nominal) to ensure full performance.

The perfect solution are Quest's QM1000P, QA2004 or thenew QX4500
