I am selling new Messner ultraviolet filters that are designed to treat water and kill germs and diseases using ultraviolet light and uses NO chemicals. This unit can treat pond water and helps protect fish and create a healthy environment without the use of any chemicals. These units are brand new and still in the original manufacturers packaging, and come from a company that is no longer trading. Description The UV-C unit has been developed to eliminate algae and harmful bacteria present in the water and runs in conjunction with a filtration system. The compact unit consists of a quartz glass tube containing an ultraviolet lamp. When water passes through the unit, it is exposed to the ultraviolet light source. At this moment the algae and bacteria are penetrated by the ultraviolet light causing them to clump together. These larger particles are then easily filtered as they flow through a connecting filter.
