At EnergyRATE6, I am thermal performance assessor (NatHERS Accredited) providing 7 Star Home Energy Star Ratings (including the mandatory maximum required Heating and Cooling Load Limits) along with the New Whole-of-Home (W-o-H) energy usage rating for all states and territories and specific to Queensland using energy rating software (FirstRate5). My accreditation number is DMN/19/1895 and can be found listed on the Design Matters National website at For Class 1a Buildings (As defined by the National Construction Code (NCC) 2022, Volume 2): Attached or detached dwellings, multi-unit developments, town houses, dual occupancy etc. My price for Single Storey Dwellings: $275.00 + $33.00 My price for Two Storey Dwellings: $375.00 + $33.00 $33 is paid towards the generation of a certified NatHERS Energy Rating Certificate and a QR Code or Stamp, which is required to be placed on each page of the working drawings. NOTE: In Queensland and specific to Climate Zones 1, 2, 3 or 5, new homes may achieve a star rating 6.5 stars or as low as 6.0 stars if the home contains an outdoor living area as defined by the National Construction Code 2022, Volume 2, Specification 42 (S42C2). (See images attached for further clarification). Under the Queensland Development Codes Mandatory Part 4.1 Sustainable Buildings, the lower star ratings as mentioned in the paragraph above, are referred to as nominal credits. For Class 2 Buildings (As defined by the National Construction Code (NCC) 2022, Volume 1): Sole Occupancy Unit or Apartments. My price is subject to a quote upon receiving a set of working drawings. What you will receive upon completion: A Nathers preliminary 7 star energy star rating certificate including the new whole-of-home energy usage rating for client review and feedback. Upon finalisation you will receive a certified NatHERS accredited certificate which includes the new Whole-of-Home energy usage rating and the separate heating and cooling load maximum limits. A set of stamped working drawings for the building surveyor and energy rating notes that need to be placed on the working drawings by your draftsperson, architect, etc. Compliance Requirements: All new homes (Class 1a Buildings including Class 10 Buildings Attached Garages) in Queensland need to achieve a minimum 7 Star Energy Rating and a Whole-of-Home Rating of not less than 60 using NatHERS accredited software. All new apartments (Class 2 Buildings - Sole Occupancy Units) in Queensland must collectively achieve an average energy rating of at least 7 Stars for the whole building, with no individual unit rated less than 6 Stars and a Whole-of-Home Rating of not less than 50 using NatHERS accredited software.
