DESCRIPTION

The Ridge Retro caravan is inspired by the 10-foot caravans that were common in the 1960’s. With a spacious and flexible interior it can sleep up to 4 people on 2-metre long berths. Featuring a full kitchen and plenty of storage and weighing less than 800kg you can tow with a medium-sized car and camp with style and ease.|Layout|At the rear of the caravan a wide dinette converts into a double bed at night. There is storage under each seat and oversize windows provide plenty of light and air.  Windows can be fully opened and have retractable flyscreens and blockout blinds.|The outer caravan door can be opened to provide full flyscreen ventilation. Interior headroom is 185cm.|Sleeping|At the rear of the caravan a wide dinette converts into a double bed at night.|At the front of the van there is a sofa / daybed, and bunk bed above, giving a maximum of 4 berths.|Kitchen|The galley area has a 2-burner gas hob and stainless steel sink, both with toughened glass lids. Below the worktop are four drawers and a slide-out pantry unit. There is a space for a large 12-volt fridge powered by the inbuilt solar / battery system. The caravan has an inbuilt 82-litre fresh water tank with lockable filler cap.|Above the kitchen a full length shelf provides extra storage, with sliding cupboard doors directly above the work surface.|A shelf unit just inside the door offers good space for clothes. ||Retro style, but with modern technology:|- Full 12v system, powered by dual batteries and a Bluetooth-equipped solar charger.|- 15-amp / 240v standard caravan socket on the side of the van for plugging into mains at campsites. On-board 240v mains charger to charge the batteries.|- 10-litre 240v hot water heater with adjustable thermostat.|- Pressurised water system|- LED lighting (dual cabin lights, and outside awning light)|- 12-volt fridge|- USB and 12-volt accessory sockets|- Multi-speed fan / vent on roof |Charging is via the onboard solar regulator and the roof-mounted solar panel for off-grid capability.
