Annual / 12 Month Comprehensive Caravan Service

Description When do I need to service my caravan or trailer? A caravans first service is due at 3 months or 1,000km, whichever comes first. Regular servicing should then occur every 12 months or 10,000km. A similar service schedule is required for trailers. Our comprehensive regular service includes: All moving components inspected Brake inspection Bearings and wheel hubs Tyres and rims Chassis and suspension components Full inspection of body components Springs and shackles checked for wear A-frames checked for damage/fatigue Peripheral fittings and components External lights and wiring connections Water tanks and plumbing mountings Hoses inspected for integrity and protection Tents and awnings Handbrake cable adjusted and checked Hitch, Jockey wheel and jacks lubricated for ease of operation We’ll keep you in the loop During our comprehensive regular service, our experienced technicians will get in touch with you immediately if we find any safety issues with your caravan or trailer. Most critical parts of the caravan or trailer should be subject to a daily visual check. This includes: Coupling Lights Tyre tread Wheels nuts (with a wheel brace) Tyre pressures (with a gauge) This will keep you safe on the road. Should you notice anything abnormal please call the CARLIGHT Servicing department When towing it is good practice to stop after the first 20 to 30 km and just do a quick check again of the important bits to make sure everything is safe.
