Keeping Our Site Clean and Safe

The Tradingpost.com.au team would like to keep you safe while using our site. All websites including ours are used by dishonest people to attempt to gain by deception. We have a special fraud task force that has been very successful in reducing the amount of fraud to the point that attempts to place fraudulent ads or use the site fraudlent in any way have been reduced to almost nil. We are very proud of this achievement and will continue to monitor and create even more ways to eliminate dishonesty from our site. You can help us by letting us know of any ads that you know are not correct in any way..

What Our Team Does

Fraud can originate from either a seller or a buyer. We have them both covered. All ads are checked and verified as well as buyer messages to sellers. Yes we know most of our sellers are great and also our buyers but on line fraud is a major industry and we are tackling these guys head on. Our experienced staff have been working on your safety, using our specially designed Fraud Tool, for quite some time now. They take great pride in knowing that they uncover the dishonest stuff that goes on. We are satisfied when we see a successful sale and a happy buyer.

Tony's Question:

“My ad is not showing on line. I placed it 30 minutes ago. When will it go up?”

Thanks for contacting Tradingpost.com.au Tony. I have checked your account and the ad has been successfully placed. All ads submitted to Tradingpost.com.au are checked and verified by our own Moderation Team. The team operates 24 hours a day. Your ad will, after verification, be sent through to the online site. Our experience is that ads are on line within a few hours. We appreciate your support and wish you well with your sale.

You can help us by the letting us know of any ads that you know are not correct in any way.

Our Team may even get back to you if :

  • Your ad has an obvious error (price typo?)
  • Your ad is in the wrong category
  • You have not added an image (we fix images that are upside down)
  • Something contravenes the ad placement rules
  • They think they can help improve your ad for a fast sale.
