2007 Aprilia RXV550

In 2007 Aprilia Racing followed KTM into producing ‘Customer spec’ factory race bikes for the World Supermotard Championship. Using knowledge from their factory racer, Tierry Van Den Bosch, the Tierry Van Den Bosch Replica RXV550 was created for only the most capable of riders.

Only 50 bikes were built, each selling within hours of release for an amazing €20,000ea. (circa 33kAUD). Owing to demand Aprilia increased production to 80, buy how many survive today is unclear. The SXV 550 Van Den Bosch Replica’s are built with extremely high-end components including a unique lightweight aluminium perimeter competition frame, lightweight swingarm, and heavily modified engine.

This extremely successful example was campaigned by Andrea Generali the 2008/2009 Ital supermoto championship and as a wild card in the world championship races of the same year.
