1000nm to km

Assuming "nm" means nautical miles, the maths is simple: 1 nautical mile = 1.852 kilometres.

So 1000 nm = 1,852 km. That’s roughly the drive from Sydney to Adelaide, give or take a snack stop.

If you meant nanometres, that’s 1 micrometre—great for microscopes, useless for road trips.

For Aussie navigation, nautical miles rule at sea and in the air, while kilometres run the show on land.
