10.5 kw solar system cost Page 16

A 10.5 kW solar system in Australia typically lands between AUD 8,500–13,500 fully installed after STCs, with premium gear or tricky roofs nudging AUD 15–18k.

Go bargain-bin and you’ll save a little now, but you’ll pay later—in efficiency, warranty, and the joy of chasing installers.

On the second-hand side, piecing together used panels and an older inverter might tally roughly AUD 2,000–6,000 in hardware, but you’ll still need a licensed sparkie and compliance testing, which can add several grand.

Expect payback in roughly 4–7 years depending on self-consumption, tariffs, and your talent for not running the dryer at midnight.

As always, quotes vary by state rebates, brands, roof complexity, and whether the installer turns up in a ute or a clown car—get at least three written quotes.
