12v appliances Page 134

Ah, the humble 12V appliances—because who doesn't want to power their caravan, ute, or dodgy rooftop tent setup with the same voltage that runs your car's cigarette lighter socket? These gadgets range from fridges and fans to kettles and lights, all designed to sip power efficiently from your vehicle's battery.

Key points:

• Designed for use with 12V DC power sources, usually your vehicle's electrical system.
• Common in camping and overlanding setups.
• Prices vary wildly—expect to pay anywhere from $30 for a simple fan to over $1,000 for a high-end fridge.
