2007 honda crv problems Page 6

The 2007 Honda CR‑V is generally a tough old bus, but it’s not without its quirks.

Here are the common problems owners report in Australia:

• Air-conditioning compressor/clutch failure, leading to warm air; repairs typically around AUD $1,200–$2,500.
• Rear diff chatter on tight turns; a change of Honda DPS‑F fluid usually fixes it—do it every ~40,000 km if you rack up lots of city driving.
• Power door lock actuators failing, causing random locking/unlocking.
• Inner rear tyre wear from excessive negative camber; alignment and a rear camber kit help.
• Power‑steering pump whine or leaks; often cured with an O‑ring or pump replacement.
• Takata airbag recall affects many 2007 CR‑Vs—check your VIN and get it done free.
• Minor annoyances: sun visor droop, trim rattles, and the odd VSA/ABS sensor throwing a light.

A thorough pre‑purchase inspection, solid service history, and fresh fluids (engine, transmission, rear diff) go a long way. If it feels rough or drones on turns, walk—or at least budget accordingly.
