2010 hyundai iload problems

Shopping a 2010 Hyundai iLoad? Sensible choice—proper workhorse—with a few gremlins that like to join the tools in the back if you skip maintenance.

The 2.5 CRDi can be sturdy, but these are the trouble spots owners most often chase:

• Diesel injectors and turbo wear causing rough running, smoke, or limp mode
• EGR/DPF clogging on short-trip vans, plus soot build-up
• Sliding door rollers, cables and latches wearing; central locking actuators failing
• Front-end wear: lower ball joints, rack ends, wheel bearings leading to knocks and tyre feathering
• Brake shudder from warped front discs under load
• Propshaft centre bearing vibration at highway speeds
• Air-con weakness (evaporator/compressor leaks) on hot days
• Auto transmission shudder/overheat; fresh fluid and an auxiliary cooler help

Look for full service history, smooth cold starts, straight braking, quiet doors on a slope, and no driveline buzz on cruise. Get a pre-purchase inspection and scan for codes; budgeting for injectors, door hardware and fresh suspension bits isn’t pessimistic—it’s just good van ownership.
