The 2021 Isuzu D‑MAX’s factory front loops are tie-downs, not rated recovery points—save them for shipping crates, not snatch straps. Fit a pair of vehicle-specific, rated recovery points that bolt to the chassis rails and are clearly stamped with a WLL; they should accept a soft shackle or bow shackle and be used with an equaliser/bridle. At the rear, use a rated hitch receiver with a recovery hitch block; never the tow ball—unless you fancy turning it into high-speed shrapnel. Use rated shackles, a kinetic rope where appropriate, and dampeners, and keep spectators well out of the danger zone. After installation, torque everything to the manufacturer’s spec and re-check after the first few recoveries. Always follow the vehicle manual and the recovery gear maker’s instructions.
