The 2022 Bathurst 1000 was won by Shane van Gisbergen and Garth Tander, who hustled the #97 Red Bull Ampol Racing Holden Commodore to glory. Triple Eight Race Engineering added another Peter Brock Trophy to the cabinet, because of course they did. It was a fitting farewell, too—Holden’s final Bathurst triumph before the Gen3 era rolled in. A masterclass in tyre whispering, traffic dodging, and sheer stubborn pace over 161 laps. Not bad for a day’s work on the Mountain.
