Fitting driving lights to a 2022 Isuzu D‑Max isn’t witchcraft, but you do need to play nice with its CAN‑bus.

Use a dedicated high‑beam interface or headlight adapter (no vampire taps on the LED loom), then wire a standard 4‑pin relay: 30 from the battery via a 30–40 A fuse, 87 out to the lights, 85 to earth, and 86 to the high‑beam trigger through an isolator switch.

Ground the lights well, run proper‑gauge cable in split conduit, and aim them so you’re lighting the road, not the possums.

In Australia they must only operate with high beam and be able to be switched off independently; check ADR and state rules for mounting height and numbers.

A pre‑made harness for the 2020‑on D‑Max makes life easier and reduces the swearing to acceptable weekend levels.
