2022 ford ranger screen not working Page 7

If your 2022 Ford Ranger’s giant screen has downed tools, take a breath—this is usually software having a sulk, not hardware exploding.

Start with a soft reset: hold the audio power/volume button and the seek forward button together for about 10–15 seconds until it reboots.

Next, unplug any USB devices, check battery health (low voltage equals weird behaviour), and install any available Sync 4A updates or ask your dealer to.

If it’s still blank, try a master reset via Settings > General > Reset > Master Reset (note: it wipes paired phones and preferences), then check fuses and connectors.

Under warranty? Get the dealer to scan for fault codes—there are known updates for blank/laggy displays, and they’ll sort it without creative language.

• Soft reset: hold power/volume + seek forward for 10–15 seconds.
• Remove USB devices and aftermarket adapters.
• Install Sync 4A updates (OTA or dealer); ask about applicable software campaigns.
• Master reset via Settings (erases data).
• Check battery health and vehicle voltage; low volts cause black screens.
• Inspect infotainment fuses/connectors; power-cycle the car if comfortable.
