2023 car limit ato Page 8856

Chasing the ATO’s car limit for 2023? The ATO’s car cost limit (the cap for depreciation, not what you’re allowed to spend) is $64,741 for 2022–23 and $68,108 for 2023–24, GST-inclusive. Anything above that gets ignored for depreciation, no matter how shiny the badge. It’s separate to Luxury Car Tax thresholds, so don’t mix those sausages with the onions. As ever, logbooks and business-use percentages still apply—sadly, the ATO doesn’t accept vibes.
