The 2023 Kia Seltos got a tidy refresh: sharper nose, bigger screens, and a cabin that finally feels more grown-up than its P-plate image. You get a 2.0-litre FWD with a smooth CVT for the school run, or a 1.6‑turbo AWD now matched to an 8‑speed auto for when the road gets interesting. It rides comfortably enough, steers cleanly, and serves up proper small-SUV practicality with a roomy back seat and a useful boot. Safety kit is generous for the money, and Kia's 7‑year warranty in Australia remains the big peace-of-mind cherry on top. Downsides? Some cabin plastics are hardy rather than fancy, the base audio is forgettable, and the turbo can sip like a tradie after knock-off if pushed. Overall, it is a value-packed, tech-forward compact SUV that feels sorted without trying to be sporty for the sake of it.
