2023 le mans Page 2

2023 was Le Mans’ centenary, and Ferrari returned to top-tier prototypes and promptly won it—subtle as a fireworks display. The No. 51 Ferrari 499P (Pier Guidi/Calado/Giovinazzi) took victory, fending off Toyota’s still-formidable GR010 Hybrid to second. Cadillac grabbed a well-earned spot on the podium, proving the new Hypercar era wasn’t just a two-horse parade. Rain, safety cars, and a stacked field from Porsche and Peugeot made it delightfully chaotic.

Down in GTE Am’s swansong, Corvette signed off with silverware, because of course they did. History made, egos bruised, and endurance racing properly noisy again.
