Short version: in Australia, the 2024 Subaru Forester isn’t the big makeover—it’s the same dependable boxy mate with some trim and spec tweaks.
The proper redesign was unveiled overseas and is expected to arrive here as a 2025 model, with crisper styling, a stiffer body, a quieter cabin, and updated infotainment plus the latest EyeSight safety.
Expect familiar naturally aspirated boxer power at launch locally; any hybrid shenanigans will depend on Subaru’s rollout timing for Australia.
If you want the full glow-up, wait for the 2025 arrival; if you want a safe bet now, the 2024 Forester keeps doing the school run and gravel-track shuffle without fuss.
