The 24 Hours of Lemons Australia 2023 was the same glorious circus of cheap cars, big themes, and even bigger egos—endurance racing without the snobbery. It’s a budget endurance series where teams run hilariously low-value cars with proper safety gear, swap drivers, and chase laps rather than lap times. Events typically run over a weekend in long stints, not one continuous 24‑hour slog, which is good news for your eyelids and your engine. Expect scrutineering, black flags for silliness, and trophies for creativity as much as pace. If your car looks like a dodgy movie prop and still starts, you’re halfway there—just bring a sense of humour and a torque wrench.
