25:1 fuel mix means 25 parts unleaded petrol to 1 part two‑stroke oil—so for 1 litre of petrol, add 40 mL of 2‑stroke oil.
Handy sums: 5 L = 200 mL, 10 L = 400 mL; measure it properly unless you fancy a smoky two‑stroke or a seized one. Mix in a clean jerry can, shake like a Polaroid, then fill the tank. Use quality 2‑stroke oil and regular 91 RON; many small engines aren’t fans of E10. Always check your owner’s manual—some engines prefer 40:1 or 50:1, and they’re surprisingly opinionated about it.
