2 stroke petrol remote control cars Page 20

Ah, the intoxicating whiff of 2-stroke petrol RC cars—real fire-breathing beasts compared to their electric cousins. These mini monsters pack a punch with lightweight engines that deliver rapid acceleration and a glorious, ear-splitting exhaust note. Expect top speeds often exceeding 70 km/h, with the added charm of fiddly maintenance like mixing fuel and tuning carburettors.

Prices vary wildly: new kits can set you back anywhere from $400 to $1500 AUD, while used models often languish on Tradingpost or CarShowroom for less, depending on condition. Beware, these are not for the faint-hearted, with common issues including:

• Frequent engine tuning and rebuilds
• Fuel line leaks
• Clutch wear
• Excessive smoke and exhaust residue

For the true petrolhead willing to embrace the mess and noise, these cars offer unparalleled thrills. Consult official manuals and forums for the nitty-gritty maintenance details.
