The Prado’s “2nd Start” button tells the auto to pull away in second gear, trimming torque to the wheels so you don’t turn a wet boat ramp or muddy track into a slip’n’slide. Use it on low-grip surfaces—snow, sand, slick clay—where gentler take-off is your friend. Press the button, the light comes on, and off you glide; it cancels once you pick up speed or cycle the ignition. It’s not for towing heavy loads up steep hills or for hero launches at the lights—use normal first gear for that. Think of it as the courteous handshake of take-offs: calm, controlled, and easy on the surface.
