300nm to km Page 296

Ah, the classic nautical mile conundrum. One nautical mile (nm) is exactly 1.852 kilometres. So, if you're converting 300 nm, multiply 300 by 1.852 and voilà: 555.6 km. That’s roughly the distance from Sydney to Canberra, if you’re wondering. Always handy to know whether you’re measuring sea or land distances, lest you end up in the wrong place.
