act p plate restrictions Page 284

Ah, the ever-delightful ACT P plate restrictions—a rite of passage for young Aussies eager to hit the road but not quite ready for full licence freedom. In the Australian Capital Territory, P1 drivers must adhere to a maximum speed limit of 90 km/h, while P2 drivers get a slightly less humiliating limit of 100 km/h. You’re also banned from driving high-powered vehicles unless you’ve had a full licence for at least 12 months. Night driving restrictions and passenger limits might also apply, depending on your exact situation.
