altitude of perth Page 10

Perth is basically a beach city with a CBD that sits just above sea level, around 20 metres up—enough to dodge a splash, not a tsunami.

Along the coast you’re at roughly 0–10 metres, while Kings Park looks down on it all at about 60–70 metres. Head east and the ground actually remembers it’s Australia: the Darling Scarp climbs to roughly 200–300 metres as suburbs rise inland.

CBD: ~20 m; Coast: ~0–10 m; Kings Park: ~60–70 m; Darling Scarp: ~200–300 m. Consult official documentation for exact figures.
