Apple CarPlay in Mazda? Yes—most recent Mazdas play nicely, and older ones aren’t left sulking in the driveway.

From around late 2018, new Mazda models in Australia shipped with CarPlay, and many 2014–2018 cars with MZD Connect can be retrofitted using a genuine kit (USB hub + cables + firmware).

Expect a fitted cost of roughly AUD $450–$700 at dealers or specialists, typically wired; some later models add wireless CarPlay.

Bring your VIN to a Mazda dealer to confirm compatibility, then enjoy maps, tunes, and messages without arguing with the native nav. Honestly, it’s the cheapest “new car feel” you can add without, you know, buying a new car.
