Applying for a NSW learner licence is less scary than a parallel park on a hill. Be at least 16, study the Road Users’ Handbook, then book and pass the Driver Knowledge Test (DKT) at Service NSW, plus an eyesight check and ID verification. Pay the fee, get your happy-mugshot taken, and you’ll walk out with an L card and the right to plaster L plates front and rear. On the road you must have a supervising driver with a full licence, keep 0.00 BAC, no mobile use at all, and stick to NSW learner limits including a 90 km/h max.
