The Atto 3 is built by BYD — that’s “Build Your Dreams,” a Chinese brand that’s been busy electrifying half the planet while we debate plug types.

In Australia it’s sold as the BYD Atto 3, a compact electric SUV that’s more smoothie bar than smoky V8, and surprisingly well kitted.

In China it’s known as the Yuan Plus, but don’t panic — same car, different passport.
