aus plugs

Visiting Oz and wondering what to plug in where? Australia uses the Type I plug (AS/NZS 3112) with two flat angled pins and an earth, running at 230 V, 50 Hz.

Most outlets have a switch, and New Zealand uses the same setup, so your gear will feel right at home across the ditch.

Many travel adapters include Type I, but make sure your device supports 100–240 V before playing socket roulette.

If you’ve only got a US or EU plug, bring an adapter and a little humility; the wall won’t compromise. Consult official documentation for exact figures.
