best aussie muscle cars Page 1013

Asking for the best Aussie muscle cars is like choosing the nation’s favourite sauce—tomato wins until someone brings chilli.

Icons? Try the Ford Falcon GT-HO Phase III, Holden Monaro GTS 350, Chrysler Valiant Charger R/T E49, plus later bruisers like HSV GTSR W1 and FPV GT F 351. The Commodore SS and Falcon XR8 deserve a nod too, because nobody does a thumping V8 school run like Australia. These cars are about big torque, roaring exhausts, and heroic badges—not subtlety. If you’re hunting a survivor or a project, keep an eye on Tradingpost; miracles do pop up between lawn mowers and fishing rods.
