best car sharing app australia Page 2

Asking for the “best” car sharing app in Australia is like asking which servo makes the finest meat pie—depends on where you are and how fussy you feel.

• GoGet: broad city coverage, fuel/insurance included, easy hourly rates; downside: membership fees and station-based pickup can cramp spontaneity.
• Popcar: often competitive pricing and clean fleets; con: smaller network, so availability varies by suburb.
• Flexicar (Hertz): plenty of vehicle types and decent CBD coverage; cons: surcharges and membership quirks can nibble at the wallet.
• KINTO Share: Toyota-backed, modern cars and slick app unlocks; con: limited locations and model choice.
• Turo: peer-to-peer variety and great for longer trips; cons: host quality varies, higher excesses, and cleaning/young driver fees lurk.

Check coverage in your suburb, the true cost per hour/km, and the insurance excess before you book—then choose the one that suits your route and your patience.
