best cheap lithium battery Page 8

For a “best cheap lithium battery”, aim at budget 12V LiFePO4—safer, lighter, and happier with deep cycles than AGM. Target 100Ah as the value sweet spot, with 100A continuous discharge, a solid BMS (low-temp and overcurrent protection), and at least 2000+ cycles @ 80% DoD. Look for prismatic cells, honest weight (about 10–13 kg for 100Ah), and a written 3–5 year warranty—if it’s feather-light and “120Ah” for peanuts, someone’s telling porkies. Expect new prices around $250–$600 AUD for respectable budget units, or $150–$350 used if you can verify age and cycles. Wire it with the right fuse, cable size, and a LiFePO4 charge profile (roughly 14.2–14.6 V absorb) and it’ll run a fridge and lights without drama. Consult official documentation for exact figures.
