best coupes australia Page 6

Australia’s best coupes range from affordable tail-happy toys to exotica that makes your accountant sigh.

For value and grin-per-dollar, the Toyota GR86/Subaru BRZ duo is light, playful, and manual-friendly. For muscle with daily comfort, the Ford Mustang Fastback brings a burbly V8 or punchy EcoBoost with surprising practicality. For premium polish, the BMW 2 Series Coupe (M240i) is rapid and refined without being ridiculous to live with. For something special, the Nissan Z serves old-school charm with modern pace, while the Porsche 718 Cayman remains the benchmark for balance. Pick based on what you’ll actually do—track days, Bunnings runs, or posing at the servo; no judgement.
