best luxury mid size suv australia 2023

Looking for the best luxury mid-size SUV in Australia for 2023? Spoiler: there isn’t a single champ, just four very polished overachievers.

• BMW X3: sharp handling and strong engines; cons: firm ride and options pricing snowballs.
• Mercedes-Benz GLC: plush cabin and slick tech; cons: price premiums and real-world fuel use can climb.
• Volvo XC60: calming cabin and excellent safety; cons: infotainment quirks and middling warranty coverage.
• Genesis GV70: lavish features and value; cons: resale still forming and ride tune can feel busy on rough roads.

Test-drive them back-to-back and bring a tape measure and a sense of humour—parking sensors won’t save you from buyer’s remorse.
