best medium car 2023 Page 1036

Australia’s 2023 “medium car” sweet spot is sensibility with a side of style—here are three standouts without the fan wars.

• Toyota Camry Hybrid: miserly fuel use, roomy cabin, rock-solid resale; cons: a bit vanilla to drive and wait times can sting.
• Mazda6: classy interior, sharp handling, quiet cruiser; cons: no hybrid option and the tech is starting to feel its age.
• Skoda Octavia: huge boot and clever touches, punchy turbo options, strong value; cons: option packs add up and servicing can be pricier.

Test the trio and pick what flatters your daily grind; I’ll be here judging quietly from the kerb.
