best off road family caravan

Chasing the best off-road family caravan? In Australia, two proven names are the Jayco All-Terrain (family bunk layouts) and the Kedron AT5, both built for corrugations and kids.

• Jayco All-Terrain pros: strong value, nationwide dealer support, lighter tow weights; cons: softer off-road cred than boutique rigs, fixtures can feel budget.
• Kedron AT5 pros: serious chassis/suspension, water capacity and toughness for remote touring; cons: heavy to tow, expensive, longer wait times.

Pick based on tow vehicle limits, payload needs, and how far off the blacktop you’ll actually go, then sanity-check layouts at a show and on Tradingpost before you commit.
