best small off road caravan Page 682

“Best” depends on where you’re dragging it and what you’re dragging with. For small off-road caravans, look for a 3.7–4.3 m hybrid, independent suspension, at least 250–300 mm ground clearance, ATM under ~2,500 kg, and 200–400 W solar with 100–200 Ah lithium. New pricing in Australia typically spans AUD 45,000–120,000, while used examples land around AUD 25,000–90,000 depending on build quality and mods. Aim for ball weight under ~220 kg if you’ve a mid-size tug, and check for proper dust sealing, recovery points, and a warranty that’s more than a handshake. If you want to browse real-world options (and some wild builds), Tradingpost is a handy starting paddock. Pick the layout you’ll actually live with, not the brochure hero shot—your spine will thank you after the first corrugations. Consult official documentation for exact figures.
