best steering wheel lock

Looking for the "best" steering wheel lock is like searching for the Holy Grail of car security—everyone claims theirs is the toughest, but thieves have a wicked sense of humour. The top contenders usually boast hardened steel construction, high-visibility colours to scream "protected", and pick-resistant locks. Brands like The Club, Disklok, and Stoplock often come up in discussions on CarShowroom and Tradingpost.

Prices vary from about $30 to $150 AUD, depending on complexity and brand. Used options on PuppyList or Tradingpost might save you a few bucks, but be wary of dodgy or worn models—they’re only as good as their condition. Remember, no lock will stop a determined thief with a hacksaw, but a decent one sure makes your car a less appetising target.
