best suv under $30k australia 2023

Shopping for the best SUV under $30k in Australia for 2023? That budget won’t buy Nürburgring lap records, but it will get honest kit and a seat that won’t menace your spine.

• MG ZS: Pros—keen pricing, simple tech; Cons—older safety tech and cabin polish trail the class.
• Hyundai Venue: Pros—compact, warranty, easy to park; Cons—modest power and road noise at 110 km/h.
• Mazda CX-3: Pros—sweet steering and interior feel; Cons—tight back seat and boot.
• Mitsubishi ASX: Pros—value and dealer network; Cons—ancient platform and thirsty for its size.
• Haval Jolion: Pros—features-per-dollar; Cons—resale and refinement still improving.

New and demo pricing often danced either side of $30k drive-away in 2023, so shop specs carefully. I won’t pick a winner—your commute, passengers, and patience for road noise will.
