best value performance car australia Page 1097

Chasing the best-value performance car in Australia? Big fun, small budget—right, let’s do it.

• Hyundai i30 N: lively chassis and a cracking soundtrack; downside is a firm ride and sometimes scarce supply.
• Subaru WRX: AWD grip and daily-driver manners; CVT auto dulls the mood and cabin tech still feels a step behind.
• MG4 XPower: astonishing straight-line pace for the money and cheap running costs; steering feel and real-world range take a hit when you fang it.

Shortlist a few, test-drive back-to-back, and let your backside and budget deliver the verdict.
