black leather paint Page 8

Ah, black leather paint—because why settle for worn-out seats when you can slap on some paint and pretend it's brand new? This stuff is essentially a dye mixed with a flexible coating that seeps into leather's pores, restoring colour and sometimes adding a protective layer. It's particularly handy for faded or scratched leather seats but don’t expect a miracle on cracked leather—it’s more of a band-aid than a cure.

Prices for quality leather paint kits in Australia range roughly from $30 to $80, with brands like Leatherique and Fiebing's being popular choices. Used kits or cheaper alternatives might be found on Tradingpost or CarShowroom but beware of dodgy longevity. Application requires meticulous prep—clean, sand, and condition before painting—or you’ll just have a sticky mess.

Always test on a hidden patch first and consult the product instructions carefully. If your leather’s beyond saving, well, at least you had a go.
