bmw x4 vs x3 Page 25

BMW X4 vs X3: same hardware, different haircut—the X3 is the sensible short-back-and-sides, the X4 is the swoopy mullet.

• BMW X3 pros: Roomier back seat and boot, better visibility, and usually cheaper like-for-like.
• BMW X3 cons: Less flashy, and with similar engines it won’t feel any sportier than the X4 on a twisty B-road.

• BMW X4 pros: Coupé styling, slightly firmer set-up in M Sport trims, and the “treat yourself” vibe.
• BMW X4 cons: Tighter rear headroom/boot opening, rear visibility that’s more letterbox than window, and a higher price.

Engines, tech and safety kit are broadly the same—pick with your eyes and your gear-hauling needs, not your stopwatch.
